My Model of the Moment!

My model of the moment would have to be the amazing Cara Delevingne! Cara Delevingne is an up-and-coming British model and London socialite. She is regularly spotted out with her famous elder sister Poppy at fashion parties and is regularly featured on the party pages of British Vogue and the Telegraph. The sisters are the granddaughters of former English Heritage boss Sir Jocelyn Stevens, also the founder of the 60s pirate radio station, Radio Caroline. They grew up in finery in London's Mayfair and are friends with the Jaggers and Lily Allen's family. Cara has followed in her sister's footsteps, kicking off an early career in modelling. She has starred in major campaigns with ASOS.com, Burberry, Clarks Originals and A/Wear to name but a few. Cara is definitely on the rise and I would watch out for her in the future! xox

My Designer of the Moment

Ever since Leighton Meester wore an Elie Saab dress in Gossip Girl, i haven't been able to get enough of this amazing designer. This Lebanese designer launched his label when he was only 18 years old with his primary workshop located in Lebanon. Saab is a self-trained designer and started sewing when was a child and knew that one day he would make a living out of it. He moved to Paris to study fashion but ended up returning home and opening his workshop. He became an overnight success after he became the first Lebanese designer to dress Halle Berry in 2002. Berry wore a burgundy gown to the Academy award when she won Best Actress. since then Saab has dress many notable people including Angelina Jolie, Rihanna and even royalty, designing the wedding dress for the Luxembourg royal wedding of HRH Prince Guillaume to Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy. Definitely one of my top designers! xox

A new trend that i have been picking up on this season is monochrome. Throughout the S/S 2013 shows this trend seem to be appearing all over from Marc by Marc Jacobs to Topshop and I can't get enough of it.
